    After this it just gets stuck checking for updates.

    Im using windows 10 and I downloaded the latest client a few hours earlier.

    Wrong.
    You have to download the new client. Just delete, the old one.

    I download the new client last night then i download also the patcher when i copy paste the patcher to the new client i got the same problem as him
